Important Guidelines for Inter College Sports Competitions 2024

The “Important Guidelines for Inter College Sports Competitions 2024” give important instructions to help students and organizers. These rules explain how many teams or players are needed to compete, when entries should be sent, and what documents, like ID and marksheets, are required.

The guidelines also mention how much teams need to pay for referees and when the competition schedule will be announced. Following these simple rules helps make sure everyone is ready and follows the university’s requirements for the 2024-25 sports competitions.

  1. A minimum of 4 teams (or 4 players for individual sports) is required for inter-college sports competitions. If fewer teams/players participate, a selection process will take place instead. For individual sports, a selection process will only occur if at least 3 players participate, with selected players moving on to inter-university competitions. This rule does not apply to players ranked in the top three or selected for international competitions. Players in individual sports will be sent to inter-university competitions based on the standards set by AIU and the university.
  2. Entries for all competitions must be sent to the organizing college and the Sports Board Secretary of Shekhawati University at least 4 days before the competition.
  3. Each team must submit a copy of the academic marksheet (Class 10, 12/semester/undergraduate/postgraduate) and an identification card attested by the head of the institution to the organizing college. Additionally, players must carry a government-issued photo ID (e.g., Aadhaar card) during the competition.
  4. It is mandatory to include the name and mobile number of each player’s parents on the eligibility form. Players must be at least 17 years old on the competition day and not older than 25 years as of July 1, 2024.
  5. Teams must arrive at the venue with their coach/manager one day before the competition, even if no formal invitation is received from the organizing college.
  6. The competition schedule will be drawn at 5:00 PM a day before the event, in the presence of the coaches and managers. Teams without a manager will not be allowed to compete.
  7. The cricket (men’s) draw will take place on November 20, 2024, based on entries received by November 15, 2024.
  8. Referee Fees: Team sports – ₹500 per match, cricket – ₹1000 per match, individual sports – ₹1000 per player (additional for selection), athletics – ₹1000 per team per category.
  9. The affiliation fee for inter-college sports competitions in the 2024-25 session is ₹6000 per category (for both boys and girls). This fee must be submitted to the university at least two days before the competition.

Important Notice for Participating Colleges fee

Colleges that have not paid the university sports board’s annual affiliation fee of ₹6000 per category will not be eligible to participate. All sports-related updates, including the sports calendar, will be available on the university’s portal (shekhauni.ac.in).
